About Oak Hill Cemetery: Established around 1838 as the burial ground for the Ebenezer Methodist congregation, Oak Hill is one of Cartersville’s most historic landmarks. Though many early graves are unmarked, the site remains a place of memory and legacy. In 1869, the Cartersville town council designated the “Old Methodist Cemetery” as a public burial ground, officially naming it Oak Hill just a few years later.
