    Name: Moving Forward Conference
    Date: March 27, 2018
    Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM EDT
    Event Description:
Moving Forward: Men and Women in the 21st Century Workplace

The aftermath of the allegations against high profile members of Congress and the entertainment industry has sparked the #me too movement, and left many organizations and people nervously wondering who will be next, and what they can do to make sure they are not next.

The Center for Professional Education at Georgia Highlands College has brought together two well respected lawyers to help us learn how to avoid career-ending scandals and provide workplaces free of gender harassment. After short presentations, both lawyers will answer questions from participants.

    The Presenters:
C.R. Wright is a partner at Fisher & Phillips, where he advises clients on general labor and employment issues, handles employment-related litigation, and presents training seminars for managers and supervisors. C.R. also handles OSHA inspections, affirmative action audits, charges of discrimination, and wage and hour investigations. C.R. graduated from Georgia State University’s Law School where he was editor-in-chief of the Georgia State Law Review. Prior to joining Fisher and Philips, C.R. worked in human resources for Lockheed Corporation. He was also a police officer for seven years with the Cobb County Police Department where he attained the rank of Sergeant. C.R. has presented several times during the H.R. Academy held at the Chamber.

    M. Faye McCord has practiced law for over 25 years and has represented victims of gender-based harassment. Faye’s focuses on civil litigation, including probate, domestic relations and family law including juvenile court and superior court as well as criminal law.
