Advocates for Children Participating in #GivingTuesday
ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN PARTICIPATING IN #GIVINGTUESDAY WITH ANONYMOUS DONOR MATCHING UP TO $5,000.
CARTERSVILLE, GA-NOVEMBER 20, 2015: On Tuesday, December 1, 2015 Advocates for Children will be hitting the streets of downtown Cartersville in an effort to raise money on #GivingTuesday. With the help of friends, families, and concerned community members, they hope to raise over $30,000 for children and families.
#GivingTuesday is a global campaign dedicated to giving back. Most people are familiar with Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the very next is #GivingTuesday. On Giving Tuesday, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
Why should you give on #GivingTuesday? Advocates for Children believes that every child deserves a meal, a safe place to lay their head, and a bright future. Your financial contribution can help makes these dreams a reality right here in our own community, and an anonymous donor will be matching contributions up to $5,000!
Without the help of others, Advocates could not continue to provide the many services that are imperative to keeping kids safe and well cared for. All contributions will go directly toward efforts to preventing and treating child abuse and neglect.
There are many different ways that someone can give back this #GivingTuesday. Drop by Flowering Branch Children’s Shelter anytime between 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM with wish-list items, (visit to www.AdvoChild.org for the full lists) or visit the staff in downtown Cartersville at Friendship Plaza on Giving Tuesday, December 1, to drop off items.
Staff will be on site in Friendship Plaza from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM passing out free popcorn and hot chocolate as a thank you to our amazing community! Staff will also be present at the intersection of Cherokee Avenue and Erwin Street on the morning of December 1, from 7:30AM-9:30 AM to accept donations for #GivingTuesday.
