    What is it: Terminus?

A cable system allows participants to enjoy towed water sports without a boat. It can tow nearly anything a boat can to include wakeboarders, wakeskaters, water-skiers, kneeboarders and more.

    How does it work?

Five to six pylons (towers) of steel lattice construction are strategically placed around the edge of a lake or cove and hold two parallel running cables 10-meters (32 feet) above the water similar to a snow resort T-bar chairlift. The system is driven by an electronically controlled variable speed motor, which will maintain constant speeds no matter how many riders.

    How do participants ride?

The ropes hook to carriers that will pick up and drop the ropes at the starting dock, where the cable operator controls the system. Riders wait their turn holding onto a handle, and as an empty carrier passes, it hooks the rope and gently pulls the rider off the dock and onto the lake. The feeling is comparable to being pulled up out of the water by a boat.

    Beginner to Advance

Beginners simply circle the lake and enjoy the ride. More advanced riders can hit rails or ramps that are similar to those in snowboarding parks. The model of a cable park is similar to snow resorts in many ways: snow resorts have lifts that take you to the top of the mountain to begin your run, and cables systems pull you on the water to allow you to ride as if behind a boat; snow ski resorts sell tickets by the half or full day, the cable park charges by half day (4 hours), full day (open to 4pm and night hours 4pm to close) or in two hour increments (at the discretion of the park owner); both ski resorts and cable parks offer the opportunity for beginner and advanced riders to enjoy the sport with varied terrain in a community environment.

From the very beginning, the team at Terminus set out to build one of the largest and most unique cable parks in the United States. In creating this facility, we’ve set out to build and operate one of the finest cable wakeboard parks in the world.

With two full six-station Sesitec Cable Systems and System 2.0 lake, the park’s signature is an elaborate series of park features and sliders. Many of the features are not available anywhere else in the United States and the custom features are the first of their kind in the world.

We’ve put together an incredible team and a unique design to create this park and our location at LakePoint Sporting Community and Town Center will give our riders, along with their family and friends, entertainment options you can’t find at any other park in the world!”

    WHY CABLE?

Cable parks are the most effective way for beginners, intermediate and high ability riders to get out on the water!  It’s a great way to introduce new riders to the sport of wakeboarding and a very economical alternative to the tremendous investment required for boat ownership and high gas prices.
