During this week-long adventure, students will be immersed in fun and exciting experiments and engaging hands-on science activities that reinforce and supplement the Georgia Standards of Excellence for science.
Each day of Science Explorers Camp, students will investigate topics from a different branch of science including Earth Science, Life Science, Chemistry, Astronomy, and Physics. GHC professors and local K-12 educators will facilitate all program modules.
Although actual activities vary from year to year, each experiment will encourage collaboration and problem-solving. Sample activities include: building bridges, flying drones, making elephant toothpaste, experimenting with magnets, light, and sound, creating soda geysers, exploring planets in the StarLab, investigating the human body, and so much MORE! Daily make-and-take projects ensure this is a camp your child will not want to miss!
