DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce that our library was selected to participate in the American Library Association's Let's Talk About It: Women's Suffrage project. We will discuss the history of women's suffrage in the U.S. and spark insightful conversations with books and programs with local scholar\, Dr. Letizia Guglielmo of Kennesaw State University.\n\n June 14: The Woman's Hour: The Great Flight to Win the Vote by Elaine Weiss\n\n June 28: Women Making History: The 19th Amendment\n\n July 12: Vanguard: How Black Women Broke Barriers\, Won the Vote\, and Insisted on Equality for All by Martha S. Jones\n\n July 26: Ida B. the Queen: the Extraordinary Life and Legacy of Ida B. Wells by Michelle Duster\n\n August 9: The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow \n\n\n\n Multiple copies of each title will be available for checkout at the reference desk. You may attend all or single sessions of our Women's Suffrage Book Club\, but we encourage you to join us for the whole series\, since we will build on our discussions. Those who attend all sessions will receive a gift at the end of the series.
