The name of our organization is Georgia Restorative Pathways, Inc. Our Mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals released from prison by providing resources such as shelter, job assistance, group mentoring, programs, and other resources needed for them to be self-sufficient and independent living.

The organization is also expanding to reach out to brothers and sisters, and sons and daughters who have committed offences that have sent them to jail. Now that they are out, they need help assimilating back into the community. Yes, they have made mistakes, but they are committed to changing and helping themselves and the community. We are always encouraging them to forget the past and work on their bright future.

We are looking for Board members to help serve this organization and who will be dedicated to help us achieve all of the above.  Below are the official duties of Board members:
    • They see that the organization is true to its mission statement and achieves its stated purposes and objectives. (This is the most important task the board faces, and all the other responsibilities support this.)
    • They hire and evaluate the executive director.
    • They oversee management and the organization's direction.
    • They appoint committees and develop leadership.
    • They evaluate and monitor the work of the organization.
    • They establish policies, set goals, and make plans.
    • They represent the organization in the community.
    • They ensure financial stability and development.
    • They raise funds to support program efforts and manage the use of those funds.
The board of directors is an organization's leadership, and they have both a legal and moral obligation to the organization and its community from the very first day of operation.

If you are interested in serving on the Board for Georgia Restorative Pathways, Inc., please send an email to adaaguofodile@gmail.com or call 770-853-3468.
