Have you ever found yourself looking for local professionals to speak with your students or professional group? The Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce has a new resource to connect the public to subject matter experts that can assist by sharing their experience and expertise. This new tool is the Speakers Bureau and it can be found on ForBartow.com, the Chamber’s new workforce development website.
What is the Speakers Bureau?
The Speakers Bureau exists to connect educators and event planners to local speakers for a multitude of programs where professionals are needed. A few areas of expertise that are offered from our Speakers Bureau participants are: Advertising & Marketing, Customer Service, Diversity & Inclusion, Education, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resources, Leadership, Legal, Motivational, Non-Profit, and Professional/Personal Development.
How does it work?
For the event planner or educator:
Go to ForBartow.com and hover over “For Teachers." A drop-down menu will appear. Then select “Speakers Bureau." From there, select the “See More” option located beneath the Speakers Bureau section. You will see all available speakers and categories. Then, you can connect with the professional who meets your needs and arrange for him or her to speak to your employees, students, etc.
For the aspiring speaker:
Go to ForBartow.com and hover over “For Teachers." A drop-down menu will appear. Select “Speakers Bureau." From there, select the “See More” option located beneath the Speakers Bureau section. “Become a Speaker” is an option on the right side of the page. Complete and submit the application. Applications will be reviewed and if approved, your profile will be uploaded to the Speakers Bureau web page! Your posted profile will allow others to contact you directly to set up speaking opportunities.
