The Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter is pleased to offer our annual caregiver’s conference which brings together national and local experts for a full day of education, information, and support. The event is designed to equip caregivers with the skills to understand and address issues throughout the continuum of Alzheimer’s Disease. The conference includes an exhibit area, where sponsors and exhibitors will interact with participants and volunteers throughout the day. There will also be a special area designated specifically for Family Caregiver Wellness.
Keynote speaker, Melanie Bunn, GNP, MS, RN, is a Dementia Training Specialist for Alzheimer’s North Carolina in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is a skilled and experienced clinician, having provided care for people with dementia in a variety of care settings including retirement homes, hospitals, nursing and assisted living facilities, and in-home as a gerontological nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist and staff nurse. Each year, Melanie gives numerous presentations to health professional groups, educators, community groups, law enforcement, and families that address issues of the care and needs of older people and their families.
No charge for immediate family members of a person with Alzheimer’s or another dementia; $15 for all other attendees.
