8th ANNUAL IRON ORDER MOTORCYCLE RIDE TO BENEFIT ADVOCATES’ FLOWERING BRANCH CHILDREN’S SHELTER SUMMER ACTIVITIES
CARTERSVILLE, GA-MAY 22, 2015: The 8th Annual Iron Order Motorcycle Ride to benefit Advocates’ Flowering Branch Children’s Shelter will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2015. It will be a great day for a beautiful ride in north Georgia along with lots of fun, activities and giveaways including the raffling of a Harley Davidson Road King. All proceeds from the ride help fund summer activities for the children at Flowering Branch Children's Shelter.
The event will kick off at 9:00am at Advocates’Flowering Branch Children’s Shelter, 49 Monroe Crossing. Registration will take place on site beginning at 9:00am along with a complimentary breakfast from 9:00am to 10:00am. Kickstands will go up at 11:00am for an approximate two hour scenic ride thru north Georgia.
Cost for bike riders is $10.00 per person, $5.00 for passengers. Riders may register in advance at www.rideforthekids.org or they may register on site at the Flowering Branch the morning of the event.
The ride will conclude at Southern Devil Harley-Davidson of Cartersville, where a daylong celebration will begin including food, music, adult beverages, a live auction, raffle and contests. This year, a 2004 Harley Davidson Road King will be raffled off during the event. Last year, the ride raised $11,000 towards summer activities for the kids. The funding allowed staff to take the kids bowling, to Sky Zone, the movies and to the beach for a long weekend just to name a few of the sponsored activities!
Bikers and non-bikers are encouraged to attend this event to help continue to provide safety, comfort and hope to the children of Bartow County and north Georgia. Each of us can make a huge difference in the lives of children through the giving of our time and support of fundraising events like the Iron Order motorcycle ride.
