Calling all 5K runners and walkers! The third annual downtown Cartersville 5K is set for Saturday, August 24, 2019. The funds raised from this race benefit Backpack Buddies, and it is a great opportunity to make a difference in a child’s life — while having fun!
The 5K race will start and finish in Downtown Cartersville, with a fast 5K route encircling downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. Event Parking and Race Day Registration will be in the large parking lot at the Bartow County Courthouse (135 W. Cherokee Ave., Cartersville). The starting line is at the intersection of Church Street and Bartow Street and the race will finish inside Friendship Plaza.
The 5K is a certified 5K course (Certification #GA18034WC) and is a Peachtree Road Race Qualifier! Please plan to hang around afterwards for age group awards presentations, while you enjoy vendor tents, music, and craft beer! An awesome way to start your weekend!
