Evening Lecture at the Bartow History Museum with Brad Posey

The Bartow History Museum welcomes historian Brad Posey to its evening lecture series on February 22th at 7p.m. As an introduction, Posey will provide a brief history of WW I from 1914 to 1917 setting the stage for America's entry into the war, touch on the importance of the Meuse-Argonne Offensive as part of the allied effort and how the capture of the German hub at Sedan impacted the ending of the war.

The concentration of his time will be spent discussing the Lost Battalion, presenting the historical narrative of what, when, where, and how. He also plans to talk about the archaeological project he worked on for almost 6 years relating to the Lost Battalion, explaining what “battlefield archaeology” is, how he became involved, what was done, and what has been learned so far.
