The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission is partnering with Georgia Safe Routes to School to host an interactive workshop designed to help schools, communities, and local leaders create safer, more walkable, bikeable and rollable routes for students. The workshop will be held
Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 10:00 am- 2:00 pm, at the
Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce, 122 W Main St, Cartersville, GA 30120.
This hands-on session will cover strategies for launching and expanding SRTS programs in rural and small-town settings, with practical tools, local success stories, and funding guidance to help bring ideas to life.
Whether you're a planner, educator, parent, school board member, or community advocate, you’ll leave with actionable steps to make walking, biking, and rolling to school safer and more accessible for all students.
