    The Bartow History Museum welcomes Peggy Brown, Guy Parmenter, and James Hamilton to its Lunch and Learn program on February 19th at noon to discuss the history of The Episcopal Church of the Ascension, which is celebrating its 175th anniversary of the formation of its congregation. The history of the Ascension will be traced beginning with William Henry Stiles, an influential local businessperson and politician. In addition, information on the early development of the church including its initial location near the Etowah River will be shared. Lastly, hear about the church’s move to Cartersville post-Civil War to present. The lecture is free for members and included in the price of admission to the museum for non-members. Table space is provided for those wishing to bring a lunch.
