Join us for a joint presentation by Dr. Michelle Haney, Professor of Psychology and Director of the Autism/Applied Behavioral Analysis Program at Berry College, and Dr. Keith Hébert, Professor of Southern History at Auburn University.
The presentation, titled uncovering a history of poverty and disability in Northwest Georgia from 1928- Today, will focus on the origins of modern practices of institutional care for marginalized people, and how cultural and scientific trends shaped the history of such practices using a case study of Bartow County, Georgia. This lecture is free for members. $7 for non-members.
