Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Parade
Line up for the parade begins at 1:15 at the Civic Center.
Parade at 2:00 p.m. including the wreath laying ceremony with proclamation being read by Commissioner Steve Taylor at the Frank Moore Administration Building and Mayor Matt Santini bringing words of encouragement. Mayor Al Pallone from Emerson will lay the wreath.
Festivities will climax at the Cartersville Civic Center with a Brotherhood Program and the speaker will be Reverend Doctor Lugenia Johnson, Pastor of St. Luke AME Church, Cartersville, Georgia. The Grand Marshal is Miss Anne Robinson, retired educator and community supporter.
