    Earn your Animal Habitat badge by exploring animals of the past with Tellus Science Museum! See some unique galleries, explore some habitats, create a new species and take home real fossils! Find out about animal habitats! 1. Discussing fossils, something that lived and is now extinct. 1. Question: why did they go extinct? Was it their habitats? Meteorite? Viruses? Something else? Create a hypothesis! Investigate Habitats! Utilize museum time to observe various animal habitats Scavenger hunt? Find overlapping food chains/food web Look at diets: omnivore etc. Create a habitat! Spend time in the lab! Roll die to figure out characteristics and explore how an animal would survive. Answer: how do we adapt to survive? Explore Endangered Habitats Look at current events- what’s happening today? Who is in danger? Think positive: bald eagle was able to comeback. Help protect! Who is working to end extinction? How can we help? Talk about the zoo. How we (as humans) coexist. Look at local- wolves & woodpeckers
