    Name: Totally Awesome Halloween Science
    Date: October 23, 2021
    Time: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM EDT
    Event Description:
PUT ON YOUR COSTUMES FOR A DAY OF HANDS-ON HALLOWEEN SCIENCE! Our creepy, crawly activities will include making your own spider rings, spider webs, and river rock spiders. We’ll also investigate light using diffraction glasses and learn about how spiders see. NASA Ambassador Nick Johnson will be at the Museum with NASA giveaways and to talk about a different “web” – the James Webb Space Telescope. The Webb will be the largest telescope in space and is set to be launched at the end of the month! Learn how telescopes are prepared to be launched into space, then use that knowledge to build a spacecraft and see if it passes the shake test to survive a launch. FROM SPIDER WEBS TO JAMES WEBB!
