    June 26, 2021, 6-8 PM
    Bartow History Museum

4 East Church Street, Cartersville, GA 30120

You are invited to our White Glove Event on June 26th from 6 to 8 p.m. It will be a fun opportunity to look at the past and reminisce about summer days of long ago. You'll see and hold museum artifacts as staff members tell you their history and answer your questions.

It's hard to think about summers past without thinking of picnics at the lake, electric fans, and nightly stops at roadside motels during family vacations.
So, don a pair of museum gloves (which we will provide), and let's take a closer look at some of the items from the past found in our collection today.
    • Check out summertime ads and articles from historic newspapers in our Archives.
    • Learn about summer fun at George Washington Carver Park on Lake Allatoona.
    • Check out classic summertime kitchen staples, including popsicle molds and lemonade pitchers.
    • Dive into the history of swimwear and summer fashion.
    • Relive summer memories as you look through postcards and pictures from earlier days.
    • Don't sweat it! We've got things to combat the Georgia heat such as a fan or parasol.
    • No summer trip would be complete without the souvenirs. So check out our collection of vacation keepsakes.

Menu (All served inside in the comfort of air conditioning.)
    • Assortment of fruit, cheeses and vegetables
    • Mini chicken salad sandwiches
    • Veggie roll ups
    • Spinach dip with crackers
    • Italian Jam Crostata
    • Soft drinks, bottled water and wine
