Hello! The Career-Technology and Agriculture Education (CTAE) department at Woodland High School is currently planning a college and career fair on February 2nd 2023 that would last from 8:45am-3:00pm. We are calling this “Groundhog Shadow Day” and this is the reasoning behind the chosen date to celebrate Groundhog Day! I would like to invite you and your business or school to participate and set up a booth. The students will also have access to computers so that they can be directed to complete applications. WHS CTAE department offers pathways in Agriculture, Business, Commercial Art, Early Childhood Education, Foods, Graphic Design, Healthcare and Work-Based Learning. Students from each of the pathways will rotate through the college and career fair during each of the 4 class blocks throughout the day. There is the ability to reach around 170 students per class block from all grade levels 9-12 but with a heavy concentration of juniors and seniors. The fair will be set up with each participant having a booth for students to visit. This would be a great opportunity to showcase what your business or school has to offer students for jobs and post-secondary opportunities. The goal is that this fair will allow students the insight to see opportunities that are available for them both career and education wise.
