The second location for Cartersville Urgent Care officially opened for business today. Located at 11 Charley Harper Drive in West Cartersville (behind Wendy’s and Taco Bell), the center offers an affordable option with a convenient location close to home to meet the community’s urgent healthcare needs, as well as occupational health services.
For medical needs that do not require a visit to the emergency department, or in instances when a patient is unable to see their primary care physician, Cartersville Urgent Care & Occupational Health fills the gap between primary care and emergency care needs. The affiliation with Cartersville Medical Center grants patients seen at Cartersville Urgent Care & Occupational Health access to the hospital’s network of physicians should they need to be referred to see a specialist for continued care.
The first Cartersville Urgent Care on Main Street opened in February of 2019 with a goal providing access to people where they live and work in the community. Cartersville Medical Center CEO Chris Mosley states, “We’re proud to offer another healthcare location to our community and provide our area business and industry clients with more convenient and efficient access to the occupational health services they need. Not only did we see an additional need for urgent care services in West Cartersville, but found it to be the perfect location to offer our occupational health services as well.”
Cartersville Urgent Care & Occupational Health offers walk-in care for most minor injuries and illnesses along with preventative care and testing. Whether a patient has a fracture or the flu, the modern facility and experienced providers
are able to quickly diagnose and recommend a course of treatment. The facility has on-site x-ray, in-house labs and
licensed providers on site. Also, both Cartersville Urgent Care locations offer rapid COVID-19 testing by appointment, and the testing is covered by most insurance.
Occupational health services include employee physicals, immunizations, drug and alcohol testing and care for workplace injuries.
Open 7 days a week, the hours of operation for both urgent care and occupational health services are Monday – Friday from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm and Saturday - Sunday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.
