Delos Partners with Aquafil to Launch Availability of ECONYL® Nylon Yarn

Delos is proud to announce its partnership with Aquafil – a leading global manufacturer of Nylon 6. Additionally, Delos is excited to add Aquafil’s ECONYL® StayClean Nylon to their product set. Stain-free carpets no longer have to come at the expense of the environment, as Aquafil’s ECONYL® nylon yarn is 100% recycled nylon containing at least 50% postconsumer waste such as fishing nets, spent carpets and other nylon waste.

In 2018, Delos is launching a private label pattern with Room & Board named Piran that utilizes ECONYL® nylon. Moreover, the addition of ECONYL® nylon will give designers the opportunity to design and order custom carpets with maximum cleanability, wear and tear resistance as well as eligibility for LEED® points as part of the definition of worldwide standards for eco-friendly buildings.

“As an interior designer based in Boulder, Colorado, the ECONYL® nylon yarn system makes perfect sense for my clients who need functionality as well as upholding environmentally responsible standards. Last month, our firm installed over 1,000 square feet of custom-sized area rugs with ECONYL® yarn for a global software development company headquartered on Pearl Street,” says Matt Pollard, Founder and Executive Partner of Pollard Design Co.

Delos will offer 143 standard colors in ECONYL® yarn and will dye-to-match on an as-needed basis. The 143 ECONYL® pom color offering will be available in Delos’ new architectural pom folders. These folders are available for order now and will ship March 2018. “We are excited about this new partnership and the ability to tuft beautiful carpets in an array of saturated colors that are lightfast, colorfast, UV resistant and soft and luxurious under foot. We are thrilled to be able to offer designers maximum creative flexibility all while serving our planet. It is truly the best of both worlds,” says Leah Phillips, Co-Owner, Delos.
