The Cartersville-Bartow County Department of Economic Development is supporting the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) by compiling a list of companies that believe they should be allowed to remain open as an “essential business” in the unlikely event of some form of government mandated shut down. Governor Kemp stresses that he does not believe that a mandated shut down is in the best interest of the state at this time. None-the-less a few calls have come in, creating the need for a master list. GDEcD is the state agency that will track requests for consideration if circumstances warrant.

For more information about what businesses may be considered essential, please view the Department of Homeland Security's Guidance on the Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce. Please note, the DHS's list is not an exhaustive list and is only advisory in nature. Any final determinations may be made by State and local officials in using their authorities.

If your company is an “essential business” from Bartow County, please email the below information to Melinda Lemmon to be compiled and submitted to GDEcD.
