Cartersville, Ga. — Piedmont Cartersville is pleased to offer a free prostate cancer screening event on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Lowe’s Home Improvement Store in Cartersville.
Prostate cancer screening has evolved significantly. Today, it includes a simple blood test known as the PSA (prostate-specific antigen) as an initial screening, which can help detect early signs of prostate cancer. The screening is quick, and participants will receive their results by mail.
This event reflects Piedmont Cartersville’s ongoing commitment to community health by providing convenient access to essential preventive care for men in the region.
Leading health organizations—including the American Cancer Society, the American Urological Association, and the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force—recommend that men discuss the potential benefits, risks, and uncertainties of prostate cancer screening with their clinician.
