Cartersville, Georgia – Footprints on the Heart, a nonprofit organization based in Kingston,
Georgia, has been recognized as Nonprofit of the Year for 2020 by TurnKey Writing Solutions.

Footprints on the Heart’s mission is to raise awareness and education for pregnancy and
infant loss (up to age 2). Footprints on the Heart envisions a society where families no longer
have to bear the burden of pregnancy and infant loss in silence but instead can openly
share their loss journey. Through community efforts, sharing bereavement materials, and the
opportunity to connect with others who have experienced loss, the organization encourages
individuals to grieve and grow in a healthy manner.

“Footprints on the Heart is humbled and grateful beyond measure to have been selected as
the 2020 Turnkey Writing Solutions Nonprofit of the Year,” says Khristie Staines, Executive
Director. “Pregnancy and infant loss is still such a taboo topic in today’s society,” she
continues. “Many people are uncomfortable discussing death at all but especially the death
of a baby. This grant will be used to purchase infant caskets, urns, memorial jewelry,
cremation jewelry, and our H.O.P.E. Box contents. It will also provide additional resources
needed as we walk alongside families who face the unimaginable loss of a baby in the first
two years of life. We are thankful to our faithful supporters, both locally and from afar, and
grant opportunities such as this one from Turnkey Writing Solutions that help to further our
    ministry efforts.”

Previously selected as TurnKey Writing Solutions’ Nonprofit of the Month for July 2020,
Footprints on the Heart competed throughout January 2021 in an online voting contest
against ten other previously recognized Nonprofit of the Month awardees. The nonprofit
organization that received the most community votes won the recognition. Footprints on the
Heart received 29% more votes than the contest’s runner-up, earning the first annual
Nonprofit of the Year Award and a $1,000 unrestricted grant. To learn more about the

Nominations are accepted for TurnKey’s Nonprofit of the Month award via the organization’s
website on a rolling basis. Once a nomination is made, TurnKey conducts a brief interview
with each nominee. The award committee reviews and scores each nomination and
interview to determine each month's recipient. “Shining a spotlight on nonprofit
organizations each month has certainly been a highlight of 2020,” says founder and
managing director Melanie Lambert. “From the day we launched this program, it has been
our mission to help promote nonprofits across the country, help them engage with new
audiences and hopefully increase their reach for volunteers, clients, and donations. In their
unique ways, these organizations are changing the world, and their accomplishments
    deserve our recognition.”
