Cartersville, Ga – Piedmont Cartersville Hospital, part of the Piedmont Healthcare system, is proud to share highlights from Piedmont’s 2024 Community Impact Report, which outlines the organization’s ongoing efforts to improve health outcomes across Georgia—including right here in Cartersville. As part of Piedmont’s statewide, non-profit health system, Piedmont Cartersville is committed to delivering high-quality, accessible care and supporting initiatives that address the most pressing health needs in Bartow County and surrounding areas.

The report outlines how Piedmont Cartersville team members are actively involved in community health clinics, on-site screenings, wellness events, and educational outreach. These efforts are guided by the hospital’s Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), which identifies hypertension as a leading health concern in the region.

“Piedmont Cartersville is proud to be a trusted partner in the Bartow County community,” said Lori Rakes, Chief Executive Officer of Piedmont Cartersville. “Our team is deeply committed to Piedmont’s purpose to make a positive difference in every life we touch. Whether it’s through free health screenings, educational events, or partnerships with local organizations, we are working every day to empower our neighbors to live healthier lives.”

In Fiscal Year 2024, Piedmont Cartersville contributed to Piedmont’s overall $607 million investment in community impact across Georgia. This includes support for more than 2,360 community events, 1,480 mobile care initiatives, and nearly 1,000 sponsorships of local nonprofits and organizations. For every $1 in tax benefit, Piedmont provided $2.09 in community support in FY 2024—demonstrating its commitment to reinvesting in the communities it serves.

Piedmont Cartersville continues to expand access to care and improve outcomes through physician-led strategies, including targeted efforts to promote healthy lifestyles. For more information about Piedmont Cartersville’s community programs or to schedule an appointment, visit piedmont.org.
