• Engagement & Learning Programs Specialist

    Job Description

    Engagement & Learning Programs Specialist

    Position Summary

The Engagement & Learning Programs Specialist is our boots-on-the-ground HR team member, dedicated to being present and visible across the workplace. This role focuses on building strong relationships with employees at all levels, keeping a pulse on morale, and supporting ongoing training and engagement activities. From regular check-ins and stay interviews to coordinating recognition and morale-boosting activities, this position plays a hands-on role in making MJC a great place to work. While some training coordination is part of the role, it focuses on delivering and organizing existing programs rather than creating new large-scale initiatives. This position reports to the People and Talent Manager.

    • Conduct stay interviews and check-ins (daily check-ins during the EE’s first 90 days) to gather feedback and strengthen relationships.
    • Coordinate and deliver existing training programs and ensure completion tracking.
    • Organize and promote employee recognition activities and morale-boosting events.
    • Support leaders with tools and ideas to keep their teams engaged and motivated.
    • Act as a friendly, approachable resource for employees seeking support or guidance.
    • Help collect feedback and share insights with HR and leadership to improve the employee experience continuously.
    • Assist with onboarding engagement touchpoints to help new employees feel welcomed and supported.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in HR or related fields preferred.
    • 1–3 years of experience in HR support, employee engagement, or a customer service-related role.
    • Outgoing and approachable personality with strong relationship-building skills (are a must).
    • Comfortable interacting with employees at all levels of the company.
    • Strong communication and listening skills (are a must).
    • Organized and dependable, with the ability to follow through on commitments.
    • Ability to coordinate events and training sessions effectively (are a must).
