    Job Summary

     

    This position provides administrative support for Finance and Administration and is responsible to keep the staff informed of items affecting the office/function. This position requires confidentiality and the ability to make independent judgements and procedural decisions.

     

    Applicant must be a current Georgia Highlands Student

     

    This position is located at Floyd Campus

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Greets visitors and answers telephone; provides information and assistance; takes messages and schedules appointments

     

    • Distributes incoming and outgoing mail

     

    • Purchases office supplies as needed

     

    • Assists with travel arrangements and expense reports

     

    • Assist Budget Director with data entry task as needed

     

    Required Qualifications

     

    • Currently enrolled in a program of study at Georgia Highlands College. A business pathway is preferred.

    • Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with a High School diploma or equivalent, while currently on a course of study related to the occupational field

    • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated

     

    Proposed Salary

     

    Salary is $15.00/hr

     

    This is a part time position with hours up to 19 hours per week.
