    Georgia Highlands College is a multi-campus, state college member of the University System of Georgia. Founded in 1970 as Floyd Junior College, it now serves more than 6,000 students in Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama across its five locations in Rome, Cartersville, Marietta, and Dallas. GHC currently offers over 30 areas of study with associate degree and bachelor's degree options both in the classroom and online.

    Job Summary

    This position performs specialized duties in the evaluation of student transcripts.

    Responsibilities

    • Is responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies.

    • Evaluates and articulates transcripts

    • Research course equivalencies to determine transfer acceptability

    • Communicates with Division Chairs for approval of transfer equivalencies

    • Responds to student questions and concerns

    • Processes on-demand transcripts

    • Updates transfer course database

    • Performs related duties

    Required Qualifications

    • Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work and in addition to basic skills typically associated with a bachelor's degree

    • Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position including transfer equivalency, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one (1) to two (2) years
